Local Project Receives Home Office Funding

Loughborough MP Andy Reed has welcomed news that a local project has received funding from the Home Office to help with its work in the community.

The Quetzal Project in Sileby has received a grant for £35,000 from the Home Office’s Victim’s Fund.

The Home Office is providing £4 million over two years to develop and sustain services for victims of all forms of sexual assault and also increase the coverage of Sexual Assault Referral Centres in the country.

Reed said:

“I am delighted that the Quetzal Project have been successful in obtaining a grant of £35,000 from the Victims Fund. I hope that these funds will help them with their work supporting victims of sexual assault locally.

“I have written to the Project to pass on my own congratulations and best wishes. They provide a great service locally for those in need. We need to ensure we are strengthening good quality services in the community – especially for those supporting the vulnerable and victims of crime. I am sure this award will make a big difference locally.”
