Curryholics Nominated for National Award in Prestigious Cooking Competition
MP Andy Reed will visit one of the country’s top rated curry houses this Saturday (3rd December) as he pays a visit to the Curryholics restaurant in Pinfold Gate.
The Loughborough restaurant was the top rated local South Asian restaurant by local residents in the town and as a result was put forward by the MP into a prestigious national competition.
Although Curryholics were not successful in winning the overall prize, organized by the prestigious Tiffin Club to promote South Asian cuisine in the UK, as a national finalist they will receive a certificate marking their achievement.
Reed said:
“We have some wonderful South Asian restaurants locally. Whether it be Indian, Pakistani or Bangladeshi cuisine Loughborough can provide it all. As soon as I heard about the Tiffin Club competition, I thought ‘we must have a representative from Loughborough’ because we have some of the best restaurants and chefs in the country.
“I’m delighted that Curryholics has come out on top in the poll of local residents in the town, and that they were short-listed for the national award from the prestigious Tiffin Club. There has been a lot of positive feedback about all our local South Asian restaurants, but Curryholics has a wonderful reputation and loyal following within the town and the surrounding area.
“I am grateful that the restaurant has invited me down to the meet the staff and customers on Saturday night, and it will be a great pleasure to present Curryholics with their certificate for being one of the top restaurants in the country.”
