Contacting Andy Reed by Email

I am here to serve everyone in the Loughborough constituency but I'm afraid there are strict Parliamentary rules which allow me to take up issues only for my own constituents. If you are not sure if I am your MP or indeed who your MP is, you can find out from the Locata service at the House of Commons (http://www.locata.co.uk/commons).

As you can see from the picture of my daily post there are never enough hours in the day to deal with everything. Please remember I get 250 emails a day, 350 items of post a week and about 100 phone calls. By its very nature the job means I do not sit in an office for more than an hour a day so please bear with me.

  • Other Ways of Contacting Me

If you don't want to email me there are other ways to contact my offices in Loughborough and Westminster.

  • Listening To Your Views

I carry out many forms of listening to constituents between elections - here are details of a few.

  • Surgeries

Details about contacting me for a 'Surgery' appointment.

  • Local Council Matters

More often than not issues raised locally are matters for your local council and councillors. Here are the links to those contacts.

  • My Offices & Staff

The Daily Post in the Commons

Please take the opportunity to use this Enquiry Form to e-mail me with your comments, questions or casework issues.

Please note - I receive many hundreds of emails every week, so this form is the safest and only way to contact me for constituents.

Scroll down this page for details of how to contact me by telephone or post or you can even text me. I have had to introduce this system to ensure constituents emails get through the Spam filters in Parliament! As you can imagine we get hundreds of emails EVERY DAY.

I aim to deal with emails as quickly as possible - but as I am sure you will agree I do not prioritise them over other forms of communication. If I am away from my office it may be several days before you recieve a reply. I aim to reply within a maximum of 20 working days - but this may depend on holiday periods or particularly busy periods in Parliament.

I try to respond to most of your questions by updating this site and the FAQs page so it may be worth browsing to see if I have already answered your query. I may point you to the section on the site which helps you find the answer.

I am very sorry but I don't have the resources to undertake research if you are simply seeking information that is already freely available on this or other government web sites. Please use the site as a portal to getting the right web site for your detailed search. If you find a useful link why not tell me about it and it may help others if I add it to the site.

However, I always welcome comments on any topic- it doesn't have to be a detailed question!

If you are unsure about how an MP can help - please have a look at this fact sheet produced by the House of Commons. In many cases it is not appropriate for me to act as your MP.

  • How Your MP Can Help

The House of Commons is made up of 646
Members of Parliament (MPs), each representing
one constituency. This Factsheet gives an
