Evening Fire Cover in Loughborough

I have received representations concerning news that Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service is apparently reducing fire cover at night in Loughborough from two engines to one – and that this will mean a reduced service for the town with only 7 fire officers being on duty as opposed to the normal 10.

I would be grateful for your comments on this important issue and whether the reports I have heard are accurate and, if so, the reasoning behind the announcement.

This is a matter which will concern many of my constituents and I would be grateful for an opportunity to discuss these matters with you.
