Is it just me or have I missed something.
The Countryside Alliance have vowed to unseat MPs like me for voting for a ban on hunting. And when did they announce this? Well at the rally before they all set off legally to 'hunt'. They all came back and said what a jolly time they had. Now call me a naive but if they hunted legally what is the big fuss about?
Anyway you have to laugh at their arrogance. They claim they will unseat MPs. Exactly how many pro-hunters do they think voted for me in 1997 and then in 2001 when I increased my majority after voting for a ban consistently in the first Parliament. Now I know one or two are a bit on the - well you know - side, but I would have guessed the more intelligent ones that will have fathomed out that precisely none of them ever voted for me anyway. So what impact will it have. Fortunately it will stir up those doubtful Labour supporters to make them vote Labour. The bigger their campaign the bigger the anti hunt vote will turn out. Good luck to their campaign I say!!
