Reed Reaffirms Opposition to 'Massage Parlours' in Shepshed

Andy Reed MP is set to meet Rev Ross Rennie and other campaigners during June to reaffirm his opposition to the development of 'massage parlours' in Shepshed.

Rev Rennie who is renowned for his anti-brothel crusade indicated that he is set to call a public meeting for Shepshed residents concerned about massage parlour developments.

Loughborough MP Andy Reed responded swiftly after his re-election success on 5th May by informing Mr Rennie that he is happy to him on an individual basis and listen to the concerns of the local community.

Reed stated “I do not believe that anything is gained by trying to duck difficult issues”. He added “I have made my opposition perfectly clear from the outset of this year when the planning application for a message parlour in Shepshed first arose”.

Reed stated that he was looking forward to a constructive dialogue with Mr Rennie and would work with him on areas of mutual interest. Reed concluded by saying “I am keen primarily to promote the regeneration of Shepshed, and for my part establishments such as massage parlours do not form part of the image I want to see”.
