Loughborough MP Andy Reed this week gave his support to local residents campaigning for fair measures to be served in local pubs.
Many constituents have contacted Andy Reed to say that they are concerned that they are not getting a full pint when they order one in their local – due to the incorrect sizing of many glasses.
Reed said:
“Although I am a not a big consumer of beer generally, I can understand that local people are feeling upset that they may not be getting a fair measure when they order a pint at their local.
“What we need to see is a system where people are getting exactly what they are paying for. I have backed this campaign in the past and am fully behind local campaigners on this issue.
“I have signed a Parliamentary motion in the House of Commons and would like to see that we maintain fair measures locally.”
