Andy in Discussions with Local Police Chief
Andy Reed MP today met Chief Superintendent Geoff Feavyour at Loughborough Police Station to bring to his attention the concerns of constituents and talk about Police plans for the area.
Reed said:
“Policing is constantly changing to meet new threats. The Police have done a great job helping to reduce overall crime in Loughborough, but new problems arise and I want to feed into the Police the complaints I get from the public.
“Only this morning in Shepshed market people still say they want to see the police out and about more. That is why I am particularly keen to see the continuation of Community Support Officers and Community Wardens to tackle the low anti social behaviour problems.
“We have over 500 more police in Leicestershire thanks to the investment the Government has put in since 1997 and thanks to the commitment of our local officers we can see crime is dropping in Loughborough, but we need to move forward and ensure the police continue to address all the needs around the constituency.
